October 15, 2005 Derby Results

Well folks, it was very, very windy at M & M during the derby but the fishing was still decent. We again fished at M & M Campground in Clearlake Oaks. Most of the fish were caught with hair/bolt rigs baited with maize, boilies or bread dough. The final scores are below: . Keith Thompson caught a very unusual fish called a pacu, evidently related to the piranha but a vegetarian. It weighed about 4 or 5 lbs and fought like a freight train. Carper Rick caught a huge channel catfish weighing in at 27 lbs 1 oz. Steve Gibbons caught a large channel cat weighing in at 14 lbs 5 oz's.
