November 12, 2005 Derby Results

It was a very nice day and we again fished at M & M Campground in Clearlake Oaks. Most of the fish were caught with hair/bolt rigs baited with maize and or bread dough.

Carper Rick caught a 9 lb 5 oz'er for the first fish of the derby at around 8:15 am but there was no action after that until around 1:30 pm. At that point we were seriously considering calling it quits when Rick caught a 6 lb 1 oz'er and shortly after that everyone started getting bites. Rick had almost constant action from then right up to the 4:00 pm derby shut off time.

Rick with big fish for the derby, a beautiful 18 lb 3 oz'er.

Sean with his 15 lb 4 oz'er which put him in 4th place.

Mary with a nice 11 lb 11 oz'er.
