June 4, 2005  Clear Lake Redbud Park

A special thanks to Bob Rider of Lakeshore Bait & Tackle for donating the spinning rod & reel for our derby prize.

 

 

 

 

 

It wasn't quite as good as the May Derby but there were a decent amount of fish caught. I hooked the first fish of the day and it looked like at least 15 lbs but it got off the hook. I caught only one fish but it was the biggest of the day at 17 lbs 2 oz's.

Dwight Stevens (Todd "Leg Cramp" Stevens' dad) from Fair Oaks easily took first place with a total weight of 57 lbs 2 oz's. Dwight really had everything going his way. He also caught a 4 lb 4oz largemouth bass with his carp rod baited with Del Monte canned corn.

I'm sorry I didn't take many photos but Todd Stevens (Leg Cramp) took a few which he's promised to email me on Monday or Tuesday. I'll post them on this page as soon as I receive them.....................Ed

Here's the final results:

1st:  Dwight Stevens, Fair Oaks- 57 lbs 2 oz's (heaviest 5 of 7 caught)

2nd: Steve Gibbons, Rocklin- 43 lbs 12 oz's (heaviest 5 out of 12 caught)

3rd:  Mary Nassarre (Fishngal), Nice- 43 lbs 2 oz's (5 fish)

4th:  Todd Stevens (Leg Cramp), Fair Oaks- 39 lbs 7 oz's (4 fish)

5th:  Rick Lowe (Carper Rick), Rohnert Park- 22 lbs 3 oz's (2 fish)

6th:  Ed Nassarre, Nice- 17 lbs 2 oz's (1 fish)

7th: Stanley Dalrymple- 6lbs 12 oz's (1 fish)

8th: Chris Gonzales- 5 lbs 9 oz's (1 fish)

9th: Tony (Chris's friend) and Franz (Derbingel) tied for 9th place with 0 fish.

Total carp caught: 29

Total derby weight: 235 lbs 6 oz's
