Steve Gibbons and his son Sean met Mary and I at Ellis Lake this morning to sample the carp fishing. We all had a great time and we all caught carp. Here's the final tally:

Steve...10 carp from 4 to 13 lbs

Sean....1 carp of about 5 lbs

Mary...1 carp of about 4 lbs

Me......6 carp from 3 to 13.9 lbs

All fish were caught freelining with whole wheat tortillas or masa based strawberry dough.

Here's Steve with the first carp of the day, a scrappy 4 lb'er.

Steve with the second carp of the day, almost a carbon copy.

Mary had a very slow day, she finally caught this little scrapper in the afternoon.

My first carp of the day, it weighed about 5 lbs.

Here I am with my 13.9 lb'er, big fish of the day and Steve with a 5 lb'er that he caught at the same time.
